Rajesh Exports promoter pledges 15 million shares
Bangalore-based jewellery exporter Rajesh Exports Ltd has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that Rajesh Mehta, one of the promoters of the company has pledged 15 million equity shares in his personal capacity, about 17.18 per cent of his stake in the company to avail finance for his personal requirement.

Bank of Maharashtra net down 7%
Public sector lender Bank of Maharashtra reported a 7 per cent drop in net profit to Rs 112 crore for the quarter ended December 2009 against Rs 120.6 crore in the year-ago quarter. Net interest income, or the difference between interest earned and interest paid, grew 5 per cent to Rs 361 crore from Rs 343 crore in the December 2008 quarter.

PSU oil firms cut jet fuel prices by 5.7%

After increasing it four times in a row, the state-run oil firms today cut jet fuel prices by 5.7 per cent on easing international rates. ATF prices had peaked to Rs 71,028.26 per kl (in Delhi) in August last year on international crude prices touching a historic high of $147 a barrel. But subsequently the rates had come down, slashed every month till October and twice a month from November. The three firms revise jet fuel rate every fortnight based on trends in international markets.
